Ghost Town Refuge: YAC’s latest architectural competition appeals to creatives for the best proposal to design contemporary refuges among the ruins of the ancient Craco, in southern Italy. The design challenge aims to bring this historical village back to its ancient splendours welcoming visitors for an exclusive experience: fall asleep under the uncovered vaults of a ghost town. YAC – Young Architects Competitions and Manni Group launch Xi’An Train Station, a competition of ideas to design a new rail terminal that will define the meeting point between East and West in the city where the famous Terracotta Army was found.  A cash prize of € 25,000 will be awarded to the winner projects selected by an internationally-renowned jury featuring: Patrik Schumacher (Zaha Hadid Architects), Ben van Berkel (UNstudio), Antonio Cruz (Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos), Volkwin Marg (GMP Architekten) Dong Gong (Vector Architects), Stefani Boeri and many other distinguished professionals. In the current competition, we will help Assa, a Mozambican teacher, build a center for children with disabilities and affected by social exclusion, with the help of the Estamos Juntos Initiative and the NGO Somos del Mundo.
