Madanfo Project and Radefoundation announce a call for entries for the “Timeabu Kindergarten” Architecture Competition. The competition aims to create a place where the youngest children of Timeabu can take classes. The competition is open to candidates both students of professionals of architecture, design, engineering, or people involved to design or construction projects, from all around the world.

FUTURE MONUMENTS – (Porte Saint Denis) What is the role of the Monument in 2020? As part of our research themes for 2019/2020 the school has launched an international architecture competition entitled ‘Future Monuments’.

The National Railway Museum Central Hall Design Competition is a two-stage competition to design the museum’s new centrepiece building.

A number of improvements and reconstructions of public spaces, of the so called new places where people gather and places for dissemination of culture, are being made as part of the preparations for the year 2021 when Novi Sad will become the European Capital of Culture. For this occasion, on August 22nd 2019, the Foundation “Novi Sad 2021” announces the urban design call for improvement of small public spaces called “New Places”.  (more…)

minus20degree is now accepting proposals for our 5th edition in January 2020 >> m20d20.minus20degree (m20d) is a winter outdoor festival for contemporary art and architecture. In January 2020 m20d will celebrate its 5th anniversary. minus20degree2020 is looking for artists that can produce artworks in the field of sound art, video-art, performance, installation and land art. m20d wants to provide a platform for art that is radical, provocative and founded. m20d is independent, thus does not need to please or go easy on the audience.

Under the leadership of Jawaharlal Nehru (India’s first prime minister), India saw the formation of various new academies and retrofitting of heritage buildings with cultural institutions. This was done to bring arts and traditional crafts in the urban limelight. After his death, the vision was carried forward by the forthcoming governments in the 1970s. A new draft stating the need for cultural revival and sustaining India’s intangible and tangible heritage was drawn. The intent was to give a platform for practitioners of this traditional art form and educate others about these in an accessible urban forum.

Themed by “Lotus in Four Seasons, Wisdom in Hordes”, adhering to the core idea of “Community-wide Tourism+Ecology”, this year’s design competition aims to inspire players to observe and think about life, production and ecology at 12 sites selected in range of about 12km around the Quannong Street to construct an expressive language unique to the Lotus Mountain with public art installations as a carrier. “Lotus in Four Seasons, Wisdom in Hordes” has an implied meaning that the “perpetual” tolerance of the Lotus Mountain, i.e., growth in spring, leisure in summer, harvest in autumn and health preservation in winter, presented in the atmosphere of community-wide ecological recreation.

The fourteen islands on Lake Malaren that make up the city of Stockholm preserve a seven hundred year of history that racount the story of the Swedish capital. The buildings of the late nineteenth century, the Gothic churches, parks characterize a european capital in which architecture and nature coexist in perfect balance. The metroline is a place of art: among these is the subway line where the stops become a moment to discovery the works of local artists exhibited in them.
