The competition “Paradoxity” is open to students of universities, practicing artists, lighting designers, multimedia specialists, architects, as well as creative associations and design studios all over the world. The competition accepts original artworks, representing static or dynamic light installations (competition objects) for temporary installation on the territory of Gatchina Park.

Now in its sixth year, CONNECT highlights innovative design programs at universities throughout the country. Students, under the supervision of university faculty, have the opportunity to design environments that incorporate seating and lighting installations, with the intention of offering an intimate area on the show floor where attendees can sit, relax and “connect.” Exhibits will be located throughout the show floor, providing SOFA CHICAGO’s international audience an opportunity to experience the innovation and creativity of future designers.

Welcome to Eleven’s 10th competition. For this challenge, we are starting a living revolution. ‘Macro to Micro’ is a two-part competition looking at revolutionising the way we live from the city to the human scale. In this competition, we will focus on the MICRO element and ask you to engage with the idea of new neighbourhoods and greenfield developments on a city scale.

Presented by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and sponsored by Vitra, the IIDA Student Booth Design Competition at Orgatec 2018 gives students the opportunity to design and transform a trade show booth and gain exposure by having their design concept executed at a prominent global trade show. The Home remains the most significant architectural place we experience throughout our lives. Home represents safety, ownership, privacy, and stability. Home is where we can be alone and with people we care about most.  Historically, the home has been a place of permanence. Despite how chaotic our lives are, we cherish the consistency of sleeping in the same bed and performing the same daily rituals here. (more…)

Future Campus – University College Dublin International Design Competition focuses on enhancing and enlivening University College Dublin’s (UCD’s) extensive campus. This competition – the first stage of which closes at 14:00 BST on Monday 26 March 2018 – is seeking an outstanding integrated multidisciplinary team for two much-needed design initiatives.

This competition challenges participants to design a Sky Forest & Bee Farm Hotel Skyscraper as a concept that must take advantage of any great views around it and minimise any bad view this area of Chelsea district in Manhattan, New York Metropolitan Area.

The Estonian Institute of Historical Memory has launched an international design competition to find the best designs for an international museum of the crimes of communism, which is to be established in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The objective of the design competition is to find a contemporary, attractive and visitor-friendly design for the museum’s architecture, exposition and interior design.

Ideasforward wants to give young creative people from around the world the opportunity to express their views on the future of societies through their innovative and visionary proposals. We are an experimental platform seeking progressive ideas that reflect on emerging themes. The eco design, sustainable architecture, new materials, concepts and technologies are compelling issues in the societies of the future and the involvement of the whole community is imperative.
