To realize the Administration’s “2025 Nuclear-Free Home” policy, changes must be made to current distribution of electricity generation, including boosting the percentage of green energy and gas combined cycle generation. Meanwhile, supplementary measures for energy-related R&D and stable power source must also be proposed to meet this goal. The Pape Nature Park in the south west region of Latvia is a birdwatching paradise, and home to some of the region’s most unique and majestic species found in the wild. In addition to being a home for some 50,000 migratory birds each year, the Pape Nature Park is now renowned for its reintroduction of several large herbivore species into the wild. Most notably was the reintroduction of wild horses, who had been driven from the area by human agriculture and settlements.

The Adelaide Contemporary International Design Competition is a global search for an outstanding design team to create a new cultural destination for Australia. Adelaide Contemporary will showcase an exceptional collection of international and Australian, including Aboriginal, art. Over the last four years, the Fairy Tales competition has captured the imagination of designers and architects around the world. Last year’s record breaking competition drew over 1,500 participants, making the competition once again the largest annual architecture competition in the world. For its fifth anniversary, Blank Space is proud to partner with the National Building Museum, along with Archdaily, Archinect, and Bustler.

The world today has become aware of the reckless utilization of natural resources and is now making conscious efforts to move towards a sustainable future. In this endeavor, it has become imperative to rethink our approach towards building materials to ease the pressure on the conventional ones.

Iceland has a vast, wild landscape, with some of the most unique and incredible natural views in the world. Appropriately known as the land of fire and ice, Iceland’s volcanic fields blend seamlessly into gigantic glaciers and tumbling waterfalls. The Nemrut caldera sits cradled within the Nemrut Volcano in Turkey, formed by the collapse of the volcano into itself, creating a large, deep crater. This dramatic formation creates a unique micro-environment, becoming home to plants and animals that thrive in the harsh conditions. Nestled within the caldera is lake Nemrut, a half-moon crater freshwater lake that further adds to the unique biodiversity of the caldera.

International architectural competition for conceptual design of the territory “The Golden Triangle” in the mountain resort Borovets, Samokov Municipality, Bulgaria. On the occasion of the commemoration of 120 years since the foundation of Borovets, the oldest mountain resort in Bulgaria, the Municipality of Samokov and its partners – the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, the Union of Architects in Bulgaria and the Union of Urbanists in Bulgaria -announce an international architectural competition for new central part of the resort.
