From the caves of the beginning of civilisation to the smart homes, we are improving the quality of our dwelling’s day by day with the development of various technologies, innovations in artificial intelligence and changes we are seeing in our day to day life. We at Archue want to understand how the future of dwelling will be for our future generations. With the rise of many unknowns such as global warming, sandstorms, rising sea level, rise in urban population facing real life challenges in front of all of us to reshape our basic unit of living to deal with these issues.

Design a public timepiece that reflects the advancement of humans through millennia. ‘Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend’, this philosophy will hold true for eternity. Time can neither be stopped nor reversed and measuring it is what helps us make sense of the world. Obelisks for shadows, hourglasses with sand falling, candles melting away, all of these, were the earliest devices of measuring time.

The aim of the “Spacecraft Design” competition is to develop one drawing to communicate a conceptual design. The participants are asked to design a vehicle that responds to the requirements of the brief and one axonometric projection to represent it, with absolute freedom of interpretation, technique and level of abstraction. Even the concept of axonometric itself can be questioned in order to craft the most expressive way to represent the design.
