The Design-z competition is A-Class Marble’s annual celebration of imagination and material mastery, aimed at fostering young talent. The Design-z theme for 2025, “Upcycle with A-Class”, is here to offer you the chance to reimagine discarded marble and craft a compact, functional product that blends sustainability with smart design.
DESIGN BRIEF:
1. Feature discarded marble offcuts (max size: 1ft x 1ft, thickness: 2 inches, with irregular edges)
2. Marble must be the main material
3. Can integrate materials like wood, glass, or acrylic
4. Must be functional, technically feasible, and sustainably designed
5. Must fit within a 3ft cube
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
1. A3 panel with sketches, renders, or images of prototypes
2. 300-word concept note explaining your idea, sustainability impact & material use

1. Open to students of undergraduate or diploma programs in Design or Architecture.
