The concept of cultural tourism developed in Bali is encouraged to save culture from extinction. In this case, cultural tourism is trying to make people aware of the meaning and noble values embodied in traditional Balinese architecture. Although culture is constantly evolving with the times, but the desire to display the Balinese identity through architectural works is considered very necessary. With the spirit of reviewing the noble values and wisdom of traditional Balinese architecture, it appeared an idea to design an arts and cultural center area in Jimbaran.

This competition is intended to create an Art and Cultural Center located in Jimbaran – Bali that will accommodate museums, galleries and performing arts center as its main function, and facilities of cultural education and training of arts, art market, art room as well as artist residences as the supporting function. To that end, the design of Art and Cultural Center area should be able to accommodate all activities of regional community. Through this activity, designers are expected to contribute in finding solutions to the problems of site and the environment that will be applied in the form of design.

REGISTRATION

1) Registration is done in the name of the Parties concerned and for group participant is represented by the chairperson of the group.

2) Participant registration fee, for the printing costs of the work:
 Early Bird (August 15, 2016 – September 15, 2016): IDR. 200.000,-  Regular (September 16, 2016 – November 05, 2016): IDR. 300.000,-

Transferred to the account of the competition organizing committee:

3) Registration of participants shall use the form that can be downloaded at

4) Participants shall send back the completed registration form to email: sayembaraJH@jimbaranhijau.com to obtain a registration number.

 Condition of subject title: “Registration of Arts & Cultural Center Competition”
 Enclosed with scan of proof of payment, identity card / ID card & copy of origin country architect association (must be member of ARCASIA) active member card (team leader).

SUBMISSION

The delivery of works:
1) The work must be an original work not designed yet before, in case it is found any element of plagiarism, the work shall automatically be disqualified without any obligation to notify the concerned participant

2) The delivery of work to enclose a copy of ID card of each team member. Especially for team leader, he/she has to enclose an additional copy of origin country architect association (must be member of ARCASIA) active member card.

3) The material of Competition to be presented in a presentation media made in A1 paper format, including the design concept and schematic (maximum 3 sheets). Each sheet must be clear of any self-identity and registration number

4) Work result in the form of drawing file (soft copy) in digital (JPG, or pdf) format with 300 pixel/inch resolution and 3D high resolution drawing, 300 dpi resolution, frame/scene having a minimum size of 1500 pixel at the shortest side or minimum size of 25 x 34 cm (minimum file size 20 MB).

5) Complete with the presentation of work in .ppt (power point) format for presentation at the final judging process

6) Material of work must be submitted in 2 (two) sets, according to the requirement in point number 2

7) Insert the signed registration form, copy ID, & copy active member card into a separate envelope and send together with the work to the secretariat of competition: PT. Jimbaran Hijau at Jalan Karangmas, Jimbaran Hub, J Loft 2D, Jimbaran, Bali 80361, by post or courier.

AWARDS

The award for Competition winners is totally IDR. 135.000.000,- (one hundred and thirty-five million rupiah), with the details as follows:

1st Winner : IDR. 75.000.000,-

2nd Winner : IDR. 35.000.000,-

3rd Winner : IDR. 25.000.000,-

15 (fifteen) best nominated works will be presented with an AWARD CERTIFICATE and published in the form of a BOOK.
