Submission: 17th March 2025 Registration: 5th May 2025 Location: Province of Pesaro-Urbino Language: English - Italian Prizes: 1500 euros for construction Type: Open

Fe.M, the Festival di Microarchitettura, has officially launched its 2025 International Competition, inviting architects, designers, and creatives to propose innovative wooden micro-architectures for six unique sites in the province of Pesaro-Urbino. The competition challenges participants to design and construct ephemeral installations that enhance the historical and natural landscapes of Italy’s inland territories.

Focusing on small-scale architectural interventions, Fe.M 2025 seeks projects that blend art, design, and nature. These micro-architectures—free from rigid functionality—should serve as poetic gestures that redefine public spaces, fostering a renewed connection between people, place, and environment.

What’s Expected for the Competition?
Innovative and poetic self-built micro-architectures that engage with the landscape
Visual presentations illustrating the integration of the design within the assigned site, including conceptual sketches, technical plans, and a 1:10 scale model
Brief written explanations of the concept, design philosophy, and sustainability approach

Professional Qualifications Required
The competition is open to both individuals and teams, with no nationality restrictions. While students may participate, each team must include at least one graduate architect or engineer as the designated representative.
