Phosphorus a design competition for a series of illuminated structures. The Phosphorus competition involves the design of a series of illuminated structures and lighting displays at the Cultural Village of Lemba, Paphos, Cyprus for the summertime Lemba Lights Festival.

CYSOA has identified five areas of interest in which we are looking to highlight them by forming a light-source into a focal point at night but during the day to become a sculptural object within the landscape.

The five areas are located at:
01. Lemba Municipal Beach
02. The Chalcolithic Archeological Site
03. The Cyprus College of Art
04. The New Plaza
05. Lemba Valley

The participants have the opportunity to either select to submit a single site of an area they find of interest or they can choose to explore all five areas through the multiple site submission.

An information pack containing the brief and site photographs will be made available upon registration.

Prize: The winning entry will be constructed after consultation and agreement with local landowners and planning officials. All entries will be exhibited at the Cyprus School of Architecture in an open public event in August 2018. The entries will also be published in-print and online.
