Design a school for a live project and win cash prizes up to Rs. 30,0000. You also get a chance to work on the project with the architects involved. This is the first of its kind competition in India where we present a real-world project as a competition to all the designers. You can take part as a team or as an individual. Architectural students and working professionals, both are invited to take part. You can take part in the competition without paying any entry fee, like all competitions by HiveKraft.
A few details about the competition:
The client is going to build a senior secondary school affiliated to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education, India). They want to build 28 classrooms, a library, office, auditorium, science laboratories, and other necessary rooms as required by a school.
The school will be built in two phases. First, they want to build one section for each class (from 1 st to 12 th ). In the second phase they want to extend it to two sections for each class. The school is located in the state of Haryana and the Haryana Building Code 2017 is used as the reference for by-laws. Construction industry has not been able to adopt the competition model till now for actual projects at a large scale. Every architect knows that taking part in a competition usually means that it will be a hypothetical competition. Very few architects get to take part in competition for real projects, and most of them are large scale projects by governments or global corporations, where the competition is among the most established architectural firms. The younger architects can not even dream of being part of something so huge. The smaller projects such as a house or an office do not get any attention.
