TerraViva Competitions Announces the Results of “Hangar Ticinum”. TerraViva Competitions has officially released the complete list of awarded projects of the design contest “Hangar Ticinum”. The unquestionable historical and artistic value of the “Idroscalo”, the uniqueness of its architectural typology and the worrying state of decay in which the building has been for decades, are just some of the reasons that motivated the idea of this competition. “Hangar Ticinum” challenged participants to imagine a full recovery of the hydroplane base with the ambition of restoring the importance and centrality it once had for the city of Pavia.

The objective of this year’s edition of the Kaira Looro international architecture competition was to design a women’s house created to promote gender equality as a determining factor for development in rural Africa. Participants from all over the world submitted their architectural proposals, based on innovative and sustainable design and destined to accommodate awareness-raising activities and training initiatives aimed at developing the village, in the name of equality. The winners were selected by an international jury.

The call for ideas Leisure Harbor was launched on November 2020 by YAC – Young Architects Competitions – in collaboration with BT and Marina di Loano for a restyling of Marina di Loano, one of the most beautiful marinas in Europe. Designers from 70 countries took part in this compelling challenge proposing their concept idea for this tourist harbor needing to re-shape its image and turn into a proper place of the nautical soul and not only nautical infrastructures because harbors are the beginning and the end of the most outstanding adventures.

Archstorming was calling for proposals to design a preschool in the Xai-Xai District (Gaza Province, Mozambique).
The school will be located in a plot between the cities of Xai-Xai and Chongoene, approximately 1 km away of the road that connects them. In the competition, we will help Assa, a Mozambican teacher, build a center for children with disabilities and affected by social exclusion, with the help of the Estamos Juntos Initiative and the NGO Somos del Mundo. The winning proposal will be built.
