The Hangzhou Qiantang Bay Future Headquarters Base (QBFHB) is located in the core block of Qianjiang Century City in Hangzhou, adjacent to Asian Games Village of the 19th Asian Games in 2022 in the north and Hangzhou International Expo Center (main venue of G20 summit 2016) in the south. In the future, the base will gather leading enterprises, headquarters of international organizations, and headquarters of “unicorn” enterprises both in China and around the world. Through the planning of underground, above-ground, output density and development intensity, it will create an innovative place for the global headquarters and a dynamic future-oriented urban area. YAC – Young Architects Competitions and Manni Group launch Xi’An Train Station, a competition of ideas to design a new rail terminal that will define the meeting point between East and West in the city where the famous Terracotta Army was found.  A cash prize of € 25,000 will be awarded to the winner projects selected by an internationally-renowned jury featuring: Patrik Schumacher (Zaha Hadid Architects), Ben van Berkel (UNstudio), Antonio Cruz (Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos), Volkwin Marg (GMP Architekten) Dong Gong (Vector Architects), Stefani Boeri and many other distinguished professionals. Themed by “Lotus in Four Seasons, Wisdom in Hordes”, adhering to the core idea of “Community-wide Tourism+Ecology”, this year’s design competition aims to inspire players to observe and think about life, production and ecology at 12 sites selected in range of about 12km around the Quannong Street to construct an expressive language unique to the Lotus Mountain with public art installations as a carrier. “Lotus in Four Seasons, Wisdom in Hordes” has an implied meaning that the “perpetual” tolerance of the Lotus Mountain, i.e., growth in spring, leisure in summer, harvest in autumn and health preservation in winter, presented in the atmosphere of community-wide ecological recreation.
