TerraViva announces the results of “Wildlife Pavilions” competition TerraViva has officially released the complete list of awarded projects of the design contest “Wildlife Pavilions”.
With the aim of challenging anthropocentric architecture and with the idea of experimenting a new creative process focused on nature, the competition required the design of three small-scale pavilions immersed in the breath-taking landscape of the “Torbiere del Sebino” Nature Reserve. The third edition of the cultural project Reuse Italy has promoted an international architecture competition and an exhibition on the reuse of the “Fallen-Church” of Grottole (Matera), one of the most scenographic ruins of southern Italy.
The general faced issue has been the depopulation of small towns. The primary purpose of this contest has been the relaunch of a local community thanks to the renovation of the built heritage conceived as an attractive device. For this reason, the activity has been organized together with Wonder Grottole, a local association on the front line in the experimentation of new regeneration models.

Quechua Architecture Competition, Q.A.C., thanks all participants for taking part of this challenge which consists in presenting and developing a project that explores diverse fields of thinking and design. The challenge for this occasion was “TITICACA CHAPEL”.
There were many outstanding submissions. The jury panel consisted of Abraham Cota Paredes, Patricia Llosa, Felipe Muller have chosen three Winners,  twelve Finalists and awarded six teams with Honorable Mentions.

​New York City has seen rapid redevelopment that has capitalized on previously undesirable locations. Sitting at the top of these locations are the sites that have access to waterfront. Most of the ventures in these areas are private economic interests that only address public value when there is a direct return on profit. If not taken into consideration many of these waterfronts will be absorbed and, with the constant return of people to the urban core, there lies a need to create public and cultural infrastructure. In a city that is filled with numerous icons, parks, theaters, and museums an aquarium is one of the few remaining public typologies that doesn’t exist within the immediate area. Continue reading
