On the evening of April 15th, 2019 the world held its breath as the Notre-Dame Cathedral was engulfed in flames. A few hours later the centuries-old cathedral had lost its entire roof, spire, and was severely damaged. Thankfully it was not completely destroyed and many priceless artifacts from the interior were saved.

Marseille is a place with a thousand faces and many destinies that converge in it coming from the Mediterranean all. The multiethnic French metropolis has for many centuries retained a strong autonomy and identity over the rest of the nation while still maintaining a cultural ferment that is the city’s recognition of the European Capital of Culture 2013. The ancient charm of the military for tifications and the cathedrals, de La Major and La Garde, have been joined by contemporary architectures such as La Ville Mediterranea signed by the Boeri studio, the MuCEM of Ricciotti studio and Foster cover at the old port that turned the waterfront.
