The challenge here is to design an architecture pavilion that speaks for a more sustainable built habitat of the future using contextual technologies. The design problem is to create a proposition of a Pavilion on an existing terrace. The pavilion is intended to be a social Interactive space / Breakout / Rejuvenating space. This can fit multiple typologies like an office tower or a university. The design’s aim is to create shading against heat radiations from the sun.

A new competition to design a temporary pavilion for the West Kowloon Cultural District. To inspire innovation and help nurture new architectural and design talent in Hong Kong, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority has launched the Hong Kong Young Architects & Designers Competition – a new competition to design an iconic Temporary Pavilion in the West Kowloon Nursery Park. The winning pavilion will be built on a waterfront location that offers spectacular harbour and sunset views, and the selected design should offer an inviting, informal public space to enhance visitor experience while also providing an informal space for talks, workshops and small performances.
