We are searching for the top realized projects internationally to showcase the best projects of architects, civil engineers or top project ideas of students from these fields. The best projects selected by our jury will be shortlisted for our Aerogel Architecture Awards ceremony hosted near Zurich at NEST Empa campus, which will give broad recognition to the projects. YAC – Young Architects Competitions and Manni Group launch DATA LANDSCAPE, the third edition of the Manni Group Award inviting architects to imagine a new generation of datacentres which fit in the landscape to generate magnificent and iconic architectures.  

The cash prize of € 20, 000 will be distributed to the winning proposals selected by an international jury panel composed of some of the most world-renowned architects: Patrick Lüth (Snøhetta), Wahlström Walter Mats (Ateljé Ö), Fedele Canosa (Mecanoo Architecten), Jelena Vicic (BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group) and many others. Reuse of the Bramante’s Nymphaeum in Genazzano

In the countryside of Rome, hidden in a forest outside a small village, there is a forgotten renaissance pavilion. It’s the Bramante’s Nymphaeum, designed by the famous Italian architect Donato Bramante, built at the beginning of the fifteenth century by the Colonna family in Genazzano. It was the main element of a huge garden, with some lakes and a small river, located on the hillside next to the main door of the town. It was abandoned right after its completion.

TerraViva Competitions launches WILDLIFE PAVILIONS, a new architecture contest that aims to explore the potentialities of “Torbiere del Sebino” Reserve (Iseo, Italy) in order to come up with creative design proposals focused on nature. Zambia has been generous host to refugees since 1966 when the Angolan revolution against the Portuguese spread to the east of the country forcing people to flee for safety in neighboring Zambia.
Almost 60 years later, Zambia is still receiving refugees from a long list of countries, with a predominance of Congolese, Burundians and Somalis. There are a total of about 105,000 refugees in camps and settlements in Zambia of which 65,000 are Congolese and 20,000 are Angolan.

Miami is facing two major emergencies. First, it has become the least affordable US city to live in. Its housing stock has been depleted by its quickly growing population, accelerated by more people moving during the recent pandemic. Recent reports suggest nearly 1000 people are moving to Florida each day. New developments are pushing rental rates and costs of housing higher, making areas now unaffordable, and pricing people out of their neighborhoods.
