Results: ACONCAGUA MOUNTAIN GLAMPING

Quechua Competitions has just announced winners of Aconcagua Mountain Glamping Competition.

1st Prize

Project by: Danh Tri Nguyen, Anh Phuong Pham

The project conceptual idea is based in two themes: location (Aconcagua, Andes) and the mountaineer: Building is based on terrain conditions, use local material (rock), in harmony with the surrounding landscape. History: Ancient stone architecture in high mountain of Inca people in South America. Terrain: slope mountains. Lanscape: soil and rock. Community space – the wall of fame: pride and encouragement. Material needs : accommodation and equipment. Spiritual needs: community connection, inspiration.

2nd Prize

The concept is born from personal interrelationships, thus creating a large space that encompasses different levels of interaction.These areas start from the community, move through the social, the personal and ends in the public, creating a branching system and giving greater interaction between users since social, community and public areas border the personal space. The Glampling project and development is based on the RIZOMA, an expandable and indefinite element. The module therefore in the fixed structures, as in the temporary ones, having the capacity to expand and cover a large camping area.

3rd Prize

The project party considered constructive rationality, taking into account the local restrictions in terms of transport and labor. The wooden construction system forms a succession of openings that accommodate the suggested activities. The objectivity of the proposal is a coherent response where it allows architecture to achieve the essential when dealing with extreme conditions of location, climate and human needs. It is a confrontation with raw nature and built space, when the intervention of man suggests a framework in the landscape.
