After the Damages International Academy is announcing an international call: an initiative aimed at disseminating projects, strategies and achievements in the field of architecture, engineering, public management and application in the field, which were able to interpret the complex topic of emergency, prevention, management and risk mitigation.
The award will be held annually. The first edition consists of a single category which includes:
- completed and uncompleted projects and architectural works, which have improved their locations, promoting the areas and local communities;
- solutions for new tools and technologies for risk management in the preventive and monitoring phase;
- methodologies and approaches in the social field to disseminate knowledge during the emergency phase;
- research at universities or start-ups that have innovative value for prevention, during the emergency and after the event.
Eligibility
Selection is open to: architects, engineers, designers, professional firms, planners, companies, public administrations, service companies, social cooperatives, universities, research bodies, manufacturing companies.
Participants will be able to send the material in the manner described in Article 4. Subsequently, the jury will have autonomy in the subdivision of the nominations received for the various categories.
Awards
The promoters of the Award are committed to promoting the results and disseminating the projects selected and presented, within the broadest range of conference and editorial initiatives to uphold the importance of debate and the discussion of ideas and methodologies. The 4 most deserving projects will receive a cash prize at the jury’s discretion of €1,500 each. The jury and the awarding body reserve the right to recalculate the amount among the winners according to different needs. Upon completion of the Award procedure, the winners will also be given the opportunity to write an article about the project presented in a scientific journal.
