Athens College (Hellenic-American Educational Foundation) and SYNNEON announce an Open Architectural Ideas Competition to construct an Arts Building and design the surrounding outdoor space at a specially designated area at Athens College’s Psychiko Campus. The Arts Building will include an educational center, an exhibition space, underground auxiliary spaces and an underground car park. Particular care will be taken to integrate the building within its natural surroundings and the wider school campus.

The purpose of the Competition is to achieve the optimal architectural design – aesthetically, environmentally, economically, functionally and architecturally. Ultimately, the goal is to identify the architectural design team that might be commissioned to undertake the next stages: completion of the final design and the supervision of the construction of the building.
Eligible to enter the Competition are:
• Greek architects
• natural or legal persons and/or teams of associated architects based in Greece
• Greek architects based abroad collaborating (for the purposes of this Competition) with another natural or legal person based in Greece

A total of 4 cash prizes will be awarded of 20.000, 15.000, 10.000 and 5.000 Euros.
The 11 members of the Selection Committee are distinguished professionals in the fields of architecture, design, landscape architecture, history of architecture and the arts.
