Tourism industry has always contributed largely in terms of revenue for any healthy economy. The industry consists of five major parts – accommodation , transportation , entertainment & attractions , food & travel associations. From the above , the accommodation i.e hotels/resorts/motels is one of the biggest sector in terms of size , function & revenue.
Traveling is as old as mankind. People in ancient civilizations travelled great lengths in search of food & shelter. Today the purpose of travelling has changed. Exploring new places , culture , food & attractions is now the sole purpose of traveling today. The rise in purchasing power , desire for travel experiences and increasing number of digital influences are fuelling the growth of the hospitality industry.
Architecture will play a key role in shaping this industry by curating a memorable stay and designing spaces beyond imagination. People today are putting high value on experience. In a world which relies heavily on social media photographs , the one thing that draws the guest to any hotel is its architecture & interiors. The aim of this brief is to achieve an innovative design solution for a hotel which stands out in terms of architecture , interiors and provides a unique experience to its guests through its architecture & design.
