The Yagachi River starts near the picturesque hill city of Chikmagalur in Southern India. Snaptrude Inc., in association with Access Developers Pvt. Ltd. invites students and professionals in Architecture, Urban Planning, Interior Design or Landscape to develop a master plan for a resort at a site located on the Yagachi River. Participants are required to develop and showcase their plans on Snaptrude, a cloud-based collaborative design platform for professionals.

THE CHALLENGE

Develop a master plan for a Resort comprising 250 Villas of different configurations, 70+ row villas and a Club House with banquet spaces, multi-purpose sports stadium, pub and lounge bar, themed cafes etc. The overall streetscape and green areas will also be designed as part of the master plan. Participants will be provided with concept villa designs. However, the concept design and plan for the Resort & Clubhouse will be developed. Additional outdoor amenities such as lawns, tennis courts and others can be included if required.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Participants will be judged based on the following:
Overall efficiency of the master plan
The clubhouse’s design in terms of space planning, the overall aesthetic and relationship with the site.

ELIGIBILITY

The Yagachi Resort Masterplan Competition is open to all Designers and is not limited to Architects or Urban Planners. Participants are allowed to work alone or in teams. We highly recommend a team of 3-5 members given the scale of the design. Note that Snaptrude allows collaborative design.
